H1b Internal Medicine Near the Carolina CoastJob Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for an IM that is looking for a hospital-based practice that combines an outpatient practice with hospitalist responsibilities in a small rural South Carolina hospital.
The practice is a growing multi-specialty group practice. They currently employ a full time cardiologist, orthopedist, general surgeon and an internal medicine physician.
The practice is a non-profit subsidiary of the Medical Center, a private not for profit hospital that moved into a new state-of-the-art facility less than two years ago. It is a 32 bed hospital with a 6 bed ICU and the hospital is equipped with the finest diagnostic technology available including a 64 slice CT, a 1.5 Tesla MRI, two ultrasound machines and a full service lab.
The candidate will be primarily responsible for hospitalist services, including ICU, but will also provide some traditional office based services. This is an employed position. The compensation package is an RVU model, with a salary guarantee of $200,000/year for the first two years.
Call schedule for weekdays will be 1 in 3, weekends will be 1 in 7. Average inpatient census 12.
