Large Piedmont Ortho Group Seeks Additional Hand Doctor
Job Description:This large ten person orthopedic practice provides a complete range of diagnostic, surgical and rehabilitation care of bone and joint conditions for patients of all ages. The orthopedic specialties cover everything from general orthopedic surgery to hand orthopedic surgery. They are looking to bring in an additional orthopedic hand surgeon. The current hand doctor does over 500 cases a year. This practice will ask you to take general call. The physician surgeons are supported by a team of specialized health care providers including: Certified Physician Assistants, Certified Orthopaedic Physician Assistants, Licensed Physical Therapists, and Orthotics Specialists. The practice only serves one hospital and does manage its own private patients in the hospital. Utilize a company-wide electronic medical record system enabling each provider to have immediate access to patient records 24 hours a day.
Physicians who become part of this practice begin as employed physicians with a guaranteed salary, productivity, and benefits for the first two years. Salary is based on experience and is discussed with the applicant physician by the individual site. After two years, the physician becomes a shareholder physician and a full partner within the practice when he/she purchases a share of stock. Besides a financially rewarding service, another important part of the service is the autonomy that you have. This practice is not subsidized by the hospital or any other external institution; therefore, they make their own decisions based on what they feel is necessary and can resist anything that they feel is unnecessary.
