Job Description:The Department of Surgery at this School of Medicine is seeking two full time Pediatric Surgeons. These individuals will be part of a three person division. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced surgeon to help guide further development of a growing program. The practice setting is at the Children’s Hospital with immediate plans for a 3-story addition to be completed in 2012.
Current pediatric subspecialty support includes:
Neonatology
Hospitalists
Gastroenterology
Nephrology
Intensivists
Pulmonology
Endocrinology
Cardiology
Hematology/Oncology
The candidate should be Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery. Candidates must have excellent clinical skills and a commitment to education and/or research. It is a 761-bed Level 1 Trauma Center. The Department of Surgery of this school of medicine is a growing department with over 30 full time faculty members providing a broad range of surgical services. The department has a national and international reputation in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery, surgical oncology and trauma and surgical critical care.
Location Description:The preferred area to explore the historic, natural, and recreational resources of the coastal plain.
